Queensdale location open

Cedar Oak Hamilton is officially open. We are pleased to announce that our centre received its licence from the Ontario Ministry of Education on August 7, 2026, and is participating in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program. Cedar Oak Hamilton is now welcoming families in the Mountain area (Ward 7) and is committed to providing high-quality, accessible early learning and child care for children and families in the community.

Cedar Oak worked toward creating a positive community impact through its delegation at the City of Hamilton, which contributed to a region-wide by-law amendment that resulted in significant savings for non-profit child care providers across the region. City councillors voted at their October 29 2025, council meeting to approve a recommendation from the Audit, Finance & Administration Committee that non-profit child care providers be exempted from the Development Charge (DC) bylaw, including non-profit child care centres operating in buildings owned by a board of education.
